A few months ago, my friend Matt made my week by telling me, “It’s a breath of fresh air to read musings from someone spiritual, yet with their feet on the ground.”
I loved this. I feel like I would say a lot of these same things, even if we're not exactly the same in our level of agnosticism. I wouldn't call myself agnostic, but I'm much more agnostic about how the bigger things work and specific beliefs about specific details. I found this encouraging and passed it onto a truly agnostic friend. :)
Hi! I made a Substack just to reply to this. I came across your website after typing into Google “will ayahuasca show me my life purpose”. I’ve read a few of your articles and even saw one that was published on my birthday.
Depressions have been upon me for at least a decade - I say it this way because I saw a post on Instagram that said the Irish don’t identify with a feeling but rather say that it is upon them - and eventually led me to researching NDEs, which led me to a mysticism author named Neville Goddard.
He says that, to manifest a desire, we need to “live from the state of the wish fulfilled; live as if the desire has already been fulfilled”; we need to embody the feeling as if we have fulfilled our desire. There are many techniques to achieve this, such as imagining a scene that implies that your desire has already been fulfilled, and repeating that scene over and over before you fall asleep. But the key is finding what works for you.
Personally I’m still a novice at this, but I wonder if it could be helpful for you.
Up until very recently I’ve been super logical, analytical, intellectual, and mechanical. His work calls us to be imaginal and to really FEEL. A state that perhaps I embodied as an infant and have been way out of touch with, a state and zest for life that I yearn for.
Thank you for reading and thank you for your work. Wishing you a Happy New Year!
Well, waddya know. This is just what I needed to read this morning. I was going to title my new post "Gratitude, Schmatitude" but am rethinking that. Okay, that's still the title but this will be part of it.
Love your mentality.
❤️❤️❤️
